How to Use Split PDF: Extract or Separate Pages

  1. Drop your PDF. Every page appears as a thumbnail.
  2. Click the pages you want to keep and press "Extract selected pages", or split the whole file.
  3. Choose "Every page as a separate PDF" or "Split every N pages" to get a ZIP of smaller PDFs.

Take out just the pages you need

Only need page 3 of a 40-page contract, or want to send each payslip as its own file? Select pages visually and download them as a new PDF. You can also break a big document into separate files in one click.

Three ways to split

  • Extract selected pages: click thumbnails to pick any pages, in any order. You get one new PDF.
  • Every page separately: one PDF per page, bundled in a ZIP.
  • Every N pages: for example every 2 pages, which suits double-sided forms or batches of invoices.

Why it's private

Most online PDF sites upload your document to their servers, process it there and ask you to trust that it gets deleted. WeShoal works the other way round: the page loads a PDF engine (pdf.js to show the pages, pdf-lib to write the new file) into your browser, and all the work happens on your own computer or phone. Your file is never uploaded, so there's nothing to delete. Once the page has loaded it even keeps working if you disconnect from the internet.

No limits, no watermark

Because your device does the work, it costs us nothing. So there's no "2 files per day" limit, no page cap, no watermark and no account. Very large files (hundreds of pages) depend on your device's memory. A modern laptop handles them easily.
