Why 1 MB?
Job sites, university and council portals and many visa systems cap uploads at 1 MB, and phone scans are often 5โ15 MB. Target mode re-draws each page at a lower resolution until the file fits, keeping it as sharp as the limit allows.
If it won't go under 1 MB
- Remove pages you don't need first with Split PDF.
- Very long documents (50+ pages) may need a bigger limit or splitting into parts.
